OVERVIEW
The Course is designed to provide knowledge and skills necessary to perform Site Measurements effectively, in Construction Projects. The program introduces various Standards used in the industry and furthers into understanding the concepts involved, interpretation, identifying errors, solving disputes, reviewing claims and solving problems pursuant to each Standard, in construction projects. The Course also addresses the Quantity Surveying functions as complementary to the course.
COURSE CONTENT
The program consists of six modules,
⦁ Module 1: Introduction to Quantity Surveying,
⦁ Module 2: POMI,
⦁ Module 3: CESSM,
⦁ Module 4: SMM,
⦁ Module 5: Other Codes and Standards,
⦁ Module 6: BOQ, Preamble, and Conditions of Contract.
COURSE LENGTH
There is no prescribed duration of the Course. However, Two hours per day study will normally complete the Course in 3 months. However, the duration is directly depend on the time spent and effort given to studies.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
⦁ English Pass in IGCSE, and
IGCSE or similar with 6 subjects including Mathematics, and
An Engineering or Quantity Surveying Qualification, or
⦁ 3 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, or
⦁ 5 years experience in an Engineering office, or
⦁ 4 years experience in a supervisory level in Construction.
Shown above are the minimum requirements to follow this Course. However, a Bachelors Degree will be desirable to follow the course at ease. Those who have differing qualifications and experience shall write to, registrar@academed.org, for exemptions or clearing any doubts prior to applying.
